Kings Carey Wine Club


When we sat down to discuss what we wanted our “wine club” to look like, the conversation quickly turned to all of the things we dislike about wine clubs. (Let’s be honest, no one needs another branded bottle opener.) So we started chatting about what we do like. Our goal with this club is (still!) to create an ever-evolving, ever-growing creator community anchored by Kings Carey wines.


So what on earth is a “creator community,” you ask? Good question. As creators ourselves, we have a talented sphere of friends and colleagues who are also creators. These folks are winemakers, distillers, brewers, bakers, chefs, potters, coffee roasters, farmers and the like. All “makers” that we support in our daily lives, and we (humbly) believe need to be introduced to more people.


With that in mind, we’re striving to create a somewhat different kind of “club.” A community. Something that by definition, brings people together to make something greater than the sum of its parts. With most Kings Carey Wine Club shipments, you will receive something “made” by one of our fine friends. We want to share things we love with the ones that love what we make.


Each wine club release will include different Kings Carey wines + a “creator” gift  (when available).


For the *WINTER 2024* club shipment, we’re bundling up three (3) Kings Carey wines.


(Creator gift, when available, will only be in stock for approximately two weeks following club shipment start-date.)


Our plan is (occasionally) to release two (2) club shipments per year.


  • Three (3) bottle club (Winter 2024 shipment) = retail price of bottles + tax
  • All Club Members will have shipping costs waived on all standard ground Club shipments (including add-ons to Club release bottles).
  • And FINALLY, Kings Carey Wine Club Memberships also get Members free wine tastings* at our new Kings Carey space in Solvang, CA!


Winter 2024 Club Shipment will be:


  • One (1) bottle of the not-yet-released-to-the-"public" 2022 Kings Carey Spear Vineyards Chardonnay
  • + one (1) bottle of one of our other newer releases, the 2022 Kings Carey Cabernet Franc (very limited production)
  • + one (1) bottle of the 2022 Kings Carey Cabernet Sauvignon (also a NEW release)
  • + and of course, a small "creator" item from one of our regional crafter colleagues.


Join the Club

As we mentioned in December 2020 when we first launched our “Club,” this is going to be an ever-changing work-in-progress. We’re still hoping to host a couple of intimate, in-person Club Member events in the coming year(s). Special winemaker dinners, or barrel tastings, or even Camp Kings Carey member getaways, which were all part of the original plan -- but we've been so busy. Terms of Service


By becoming a member of our wine club, you agree to the following terms and conditions:


There is no initial membership fee. You’re paying only for the price(s) of the wines, plus taxes and shipping, if applicable. Shortly before each club release, you’ll be sent a pre-notification email with billing, shipping and/or pick-up dates as applicable. Each shipment will be charged to your credit card shortly before your wines are shipped or readied for pick-up. Due to state laws regarding the shipment of wine across state lines, our wine club releases are only permitted to certain registered states. By completing the online application you certify that you are at least 21 years of age and that your credit card may be billed for each shipment and applicable sales tax and/or shipping charges. Orders cannot be shipped to a post office box and must be signed for by someone at least 21 years of age, in person. Shipments may be held due to weather, in which case you will be notified. If a shipment is returned to the winery, you (the customer) will be charged for the re-shipment of the wines.


Cancellation Policy: 


If it is necessary to cancel your club membership, the request must be received at least 30 days prior to the next shipment. Termination of membership may be requested following the receipt of two (2) club shipments.
